"My God, they wrote that for/about me!" because you can completely relate to the lyrics? I feel that way so much of the time when I hear a song; it's amazing and kinda weird. Anyway, if you ever feel that way about a song, then post the lyrics to that song/ those songs here!

Here are a couple I can totally relate to (and if you have to ask how I can relate to them..... maybe you should re-read the lyrics till you figure it out!

What About Me ~ by Keith Urban

I’m livin’ in a world that won’t stop pullin’ on me

I’m not complaining but it’s true

It’s like I owe my time to everyone else

’cause that’s all I seem to do

You might not notice but I need a good friend

Someone to talk to when I’m down, down, down

There’s so much on my mind that I want to get out

But there’s no one around

Sometimes I can’t help thinkin’ what about me

Some days go by that I don’t even see

Yeah I’m doing everything right and I can’t break free

Oh is this the way it’s always gonna be

What about me

Well I’m dreamin’ I’m on a highway with the windows down

I’m burnin’ up the road at my own speed

But I’m stuck here goin’ nowhere in this traffic jam

And there’s a woman with her kids in the car next to me

And I swear she’s singin’

Sometimes I can’t help thinkin’ what about me

Some days go by that I don’t even see

Yeah I’m doing everything right and I can’t break free

Is this the way it’s always gonna be

Hey, what about me

Oh, sometimes I can’t help thinkin’ what about me

Some days go by that I don’t even see

I’m doing everything right and I can’t break free

Oh is this the way it’s always gonna be

What about me

Ooo what about me

Hey what about me

She Only Smokes When She Drinks ~ By Joe Nichols

So you lit her cigarette

You’re feelin’ pretty good

You think you’ve got a shot

Most girls you probably would

Yeah this is that kind of place

But she ain’t that kind of girl

You’re readin’ it all wrong

Let me tell you about her

She only smokes when she drinks

She only drinks now and then

Now and then when she’s tired

Of bein’ let down by men

You can give her a light

But it’s not what you think

Everybody knows she only drinks alone

And she only smokes when she drinks

Did you ask her to dance

Let me guess, she told you no

Got to take her some place quiet

And see how far that goes

Oh, don’t take it all that hard

When she smiles and turns you down

For a complicated girl

She ain’t that hard to figure out

She only smokes when she drinks

She only drinks now and then

Now and then when she’s tired

Of bein’ let down by men

You can give her a light

But it’s not what you think

Everybody knows she only drinks alone

And she only smokes when she drinks

The Rosesung by Ann Murray

Some say love, it is a river

That drowns the tender reed

Some say love, it is a razor

That leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love, it is a hunger,

An endless aching need

I say love, it is a flower,

And you its only seed

It's the heart, afraid of breaking,

That never learns to dance

It's the dream, afraid of waking,

That never takes a chance

It's the one who won't be taken,

Who cannot seem to give

And the soul, afraid of dyin',

That never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely,

And the road has been too long

And you think that love is only

For the lucky and the strong

Just remember in the winter

Far beneath the bitter snows

Lies the seed, that with the sun's love,

In the spring becomes the rose

This song I swear was written for me to my son.

Simple Man

Mama told me when I was young Come sit beside me, my only son

And listen closely to what I say

And if you do this it will help you some sunny day

Oh, take your time, don't live too fast Troubles will come and they will pass

Go find a woman and you'll find love

And don't forget, son, there is someone up above

And be a simple kind of man

Oh, be something you love and understand

Baby, be a simple kind of man

Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can

Forget your lust for the rich man's gold

All that you need is in your soul

And you can do this if you try

All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied

And be a simple kind of man

Oh, be something you love and understand

Baby, be a simple kind of man

Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can

Boy, don't you worry, you'll find yourself

Follow your heart and nothing else

And you can do this, oh baby, if you try

All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied

And be a simple kind of man

Oh, be something you love and understand

Baby, be a simple kind of man

Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can

I've got several of these. I'll have to get the lyrics posted later. Hubby always finds songs that are so "me." LOL!

Young man there's no need to feel down

I said young man pick yourself off the ground

I said young man 'cause your in a new town

There's no need to be unhappy

Young man there's a place you can go

I said young man when you're short on your dough

You can stay there and I'm sure you will find

Many ways to have a good time.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

They have everything For young men to enjoy.

You can hang out with all the boys.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

You can get yourself clean

You can have a good meal

You can do whatever you feel.

Young man, Are you listening to me

I said, young man, what do you want to be

I said, young man, you can make real your dreams,

but you've got to know this one thing.

No man, does it all by himself

I said, young man, put your pride on the shelf

And just go there, to the Y.M.C.A.

I'm sure they can help you today

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

They have everything for young men to enjoy.

You can hang out with all the boys.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

You can get yourself clean

You can have a good meal

You can do whatever you feel.

Young Man, I was once in your shoes,

I said, I was down and out with the blues

I felt, no man cared if I were alive

I felt the whole world was so jive

That's when someone came up to me

and said young man take a walk up the street

There's a place there called the Y.M.C.A.

They can start you back on your way.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

Crowded House - World Where You Live (Neil Finn)

Here's someone now whose got the muscle

His steady hand could move a mountain

Expert in bed but come on now

There must be something missing

That golden one leads a double life

You'll find out

But I don't know where you go

Do you climb into space

To the world where you live

The world where you live

So here we lie against each other

These four walls can never hold us

We're looking for wide open spaces

High above the kitchen

And we're strangers here

On our way to some other place

But I don't know where you go

Do you climb into space

To the world where you live

The world where you live

The world where you live

When friends come round

You might remember and be sad

Behind their eyes is unfamiliar

Do you climb into space

To the world where you live

The world where you live ...
