Hi, I would like to ask everyone at MakeUpTalk to extend a very warm welcome to our newest member from the UK. I came across this wonderful person named Donna on another forum, and was drawn to her warm friendly personality. Donna is a MakeUp artist (and so is perfect for MakeUpTalk) and it wasn't long before I was asking her for advice on all my beauty dilemma's! Needless to say she helped me with her fantastic advice, and now i am her No1 Fan! This is why i have invited her to join us here at MakeUpTalk, and i hope she loves it here as much as we do. So please everyone say hello to Donna!! Yippee!!

Hi Donna! Just wanted to extend a warm welcome to you and hope you can join in some of our fun!

Hi Donna! Welcome to MuT! Are you a freelancer or do you work for a specific line? I'm a freelancer but as of lately I seem to be doing only YSL, one of my favorite lines.

Hi Donna! Glad to hear that you got a good contract! Would working for a make-up agency mean working for a brand or for a house/salon? Since you do bridal make-up, here's a link to one of my favorite 'how to' sites for bridal looks:

I'm also VERY fickle with brands, as there are so many great products out there. Why restrict myself with just one brand?

thank you for link great looks there from great brands too,
working for the agency means they find me work in my area, within fashion/entertainment and general public aswell as my own bridal beauty business so next year ill be one busy bunny. i can still use my many different brands also. just aswell. its my b`day on wed hoping for LOTS of dosh to spend it on cosmetics (fingers crossed)

Thanks Donna! You do some great work; both with makeup and hair. Nails too, but I'm not a nail person...lol! I like the diversity in your makeup application - some looks are balanced on lips whereas others are weighted evenly on all features. Love the gold and orange eyes, too! MAC? And it's nice to see wedding faces that don't scream "MAKEUP!". IMHO a woman needs to look like prettier form of herself without the makeup being a distraction. Excellent work!!

I don't have an online portfolio because my work is just for fun. But here's a picture of my friend and her daughter that I did for her graduation. As it happened, I had a gig at YSL that day and I had them both come over that afternoon to do their faces. On both their eyes were a blend of moss-green, gold and maroon and red lips for mama and pink for the daughter.

I saw on one of the links that you're taking photography courses. Me too! My intermediate course starts Tuesday of next week. This semester I'll be doing medium-format B&W film on fibre-based paper. I'm really excited and can't wait to start. I love the darkroom. Luuuurve it.

Take care!
