Hi! I do Glycolic Peels and find them to retexturize my skin and make it smoother. I recommend getting it done by a professional as it is very east to burn your face. Microdermabrasion is basically a scrub that removes dead skin.

I agree about having the peel done by a professional. I've heard some horror stories about women who have tried professional strenght products at home and have damaged their skin. Also if you use peels too much your skin can start to thin out and get weak.

PROFESSIONAL ACID PEEL
THE SKIN IS SWABBED WITH A CHEMICAL SOLUTION FROM GLYCOLIC, SALICYLIC, LACTIC ACID, OR TRICHLORACETIC ACID (TCA) AT STRENGTHS FROM 20%-40%. IT IS LEFT ON THE SKIN FOR 10-45 MINUTES. THIS IS OFTEN AS A 'LUNCH TIME' PEEL.

PROFESSIONAL MICRODERMABRASION
THERE ARE MANY MACHINES AVAILABLE NOW. THEY ALL WORK ON THE SAME PRINCIPLE: A CLOSED LOOP VACUUM SYSTEM THAT SHOOTS CORUNDUM (ALUMINUM OXIDE) ONTO THE SKIN AND VACUUMS UP THE USED CRYSTALS AND EXFOLIATED SKIN, DEPOSITING IT INTO A SEPARATE WASTE JAR. THE DEPTH OF EXFOLIATION AND TREATMENT STRENGTH CAN BE DETERMINED BY THE USE OF INDIVIDUAL DIALS. PROCEDURE NORMALLY TAKES 15-30 MINUTES. MAY BE SOME REDNESS EXPERIENCED.
