i hope my aunt's mother in law isn't reading this lol she is very very very tan (think brown leather) she wears a very frost light pink lipstick i always want to tell her she needs to change it but i feel that would be too rude of me.

My friend's mother never changed her makeup with her age. It has always bothered me. Of course I would never say anything, but she could look so much better. But it's not just about looks...she could also FEEL a lot better about herself if she'd update her look.

I hate lipliner without lipstick or when it's a lot darker than the lipstick, when there's space between the eyeliner and the lashline (I'm sure this is a mistake for most people, but still it looks so bad!), and the worst thing I've seen is this girl at the mall who like takes a white eyeliner and draws an upside down v on her brow bone. She's really dark so it stands out a lot and it doesn't make sense! I don't know if she thinks she's highlighting her brown bone or what, but it's really bad!

That is sooo true. I am 36 now and my taste of mu changed since I was 18. And I can't use frosty bright colors anymore. I had to return some of the Mac lipsticks I bought. I couldn't tell in the store but when I used them outside, I just couldn't get used to it.

I know it is hard to tell someone you like or love because you don't want to hurt her feelings.

One that's been bugging me lately is frosty lavender/plum (if you can call it that) lipstick, Shauna Sand status. It's just horrible, I think Pam Anderson still wears it and so do most porn stars and basically any good lookin ladies that I've seen in their 30's and 40's it probably came about in the 80's 90's.

It's horrible!

I hate when girls use too much bronzer/spend too much time in the tanning-salons and then put on some really light flesh-colored lipstick. Pair this with some shitty extensions and overplucked eyebrows and you can pretty much picture what a normal teenage girl looks like where I come from. It's horrible because these girls are beautiful underneath it all - they just ruin it, trying to look like some cheap hooker.

What if you look young for your age

? Im 27 and ppl still think im 16...i can only imagine how young i will look when im 40.....~slathers on wrinkle cream~

unfinished mascara. i remember girls in high school that wouldn't get the mascara all the way down the lash, so they'd have these fine black lashes with obvious blonde or brown roots. Usually they'd also manage to have mascara spots on their lid too. really, fix that!

also, bad fake eyebrows. we had this one regular customer at the restaurant i used to work at that had these massively overly arched brows. seriously, just huge inverted U's on her face. She looked like a clown... there's no way those could have grown naturally on her.

OH and bad eyeliner! learn to blend, people!

oh theres a wee old lady that comes into my work - she must be around 70-80 and wears really frosty pink lipstick, and this is gunna sound mean but.... you know when you can tell an older lady has smoked cos her lips sorta pucker up and disapear? well this has happened so she just sorta draws on a random shape of lips on her face with this really frosty pink lippie :S sorta feel sorry for her... then i want to get a babywipe and take it off...

when the foundation is too flat & thick. when the nose is TOO contoured. bushy eyebrows. overly darkened brows. tattood makeup.

lol my pet peeve is more for my own makeup:

i hate being between shades for most foundations

i usually just use powder cuz my skin is pretty OK on its own, but I wanted to get some and have found myself between Natural Ivory and Classic Ivory for most things I try.

Dark or black eyeliner around the lips.

When people completely save off their eyebrows and attempt to draw them back using an unnatural color. When people wear foundation that's 10 shades to light to change their skin color.

Blush that so bright that the look like clowns.

Just so you know I just described my sister.

this isn't really about people, but the companies that provide the products: I hate companies that make false claims about how great their coverage is on their foundation, but when you buy it and get it home, it NEVER gives you the coverage that it claims it will

i'd say when i've done my concealer, foundation and powder in a perfect way. and then when i start smuding my eyeshadow, some of the excess falls down to my undereye (imagine, a black eyeshadow!!!) and when i rub it off with my fingers, it starts to kinda blend with my concealer and then suddenly i've got a massive eyebag! and also mascara getting on my lid/undereye!
