How Many Eye Palettes Do You Have?

Good question... Palettes are my weak spot, I just love them. Zoeva: 2 Aegyptia: 1 Collistar: 2 Urban Decay: 3 Sleek Make Up: 12  Estee Lauder: 3 MAC: 4 Neve Cosmetics: 6 Pixi: 1 Illamasqua: 2 Sugarpill: 2 Inglot: 5 Essence: 2 Bobbi Brown: 1 Nyx: 4  Unknown brand (gift): 1 Madina: 2 MUA Academy: 2 Elf: 1 Kat Von D: 1 (wish I could have more!) Lorac: 1 (on its way to Milan!) Most of them are of Italian brands and I am sure I have forgotten at least another three or four of them... Some of the eyeshadows were depotted and gathered on new wider palettes (NYX) some of them I never or seldom use (i.e. the Pixi one is very nice but I always use the same two or three pans and end up in choosing a different palette instead).

I only have 2 palettes - one is the Two Faced Natural Eye palette which I LOVE and use everyday, and the other is my BH Cosmetics Malibu palette. It was a gift, and I like how it has a combination of neutral and fun colors. I have a bunch of Mary Kay products too, but I don't use them much.

I'm definitely getting the Lorac Pro palette at some point. I'm also really tempted by the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish palette, look at what all you get for $38!

You need to add both those to your collection. They are amazing. I love the Lavish sets colors. Perfect for fall. And the pro palette is just full of awesome blendable shades. I didn't know what people meant by "buttery" and "creamy" powdered shadows until I used the Lorac pro palette.

Lorac Pro is an inevitable buy, I'm trying to wait for a good coupon, though.

What sort of palettes are you looking for? Neutrals, brights, a mix? What's your ideal price range per palette?

I think Mixed is best for me as I am still learning and trying to find what works for me.   I would say around 50.00 +/-.

I have about 4-5. I have 2-3 brown ones, 1 purple, and 1 blue. These palettes have about 4 shades of the color in it. I think I'd like to have a green palette eventually, and maybe a grey and black one for smokey eyes-- even though one of my brown palettes is a smokey eye. I don't really have a need for tons of palettes. Just enough to switch it up once in awhile, and enough to cover the basic colors. Most of my eye palettes are Maybelline (I love them)... I have a Victoria's Secret palette and a Rimmel palette. Don't care for the Rimmel very much, but VS is great (it's my everyday, brown one).

On a related note, I HIGHLY recommend a eye shimmer primer of some sort. I get mine from Victoria's Secret-- it's called Eye FX. One is brownish for dark colors (like brown, black, or sage) and the other is silver for bright colors (like blue or purple). It makes your eye shadow so much more bright and concentrated looking.
