I feel bad. I been reading and It's like we are purposefully just ignoring the email newsletter that was sent for the sake of having something to do on a lazy Sunday and complaining is usually a good time killer. But it did clearly state that similar items are on websites but the exact ones are custom. My moms friend does that terra essential oil company thing and makes candles and I know the organic versions are costly to make so even though a couple of the scents are on etsy the rest are custom so that means new testing and product had to be purchased to make it, naturally inflating the cost. I agree the card should have said 30-60 not just $60 for the marble version which is more confusing.
The trays I read were slightly bigger to account for all various names being added and again there is no version on that etsy link with both a custom name and heart together, so we are spending all this time complaining over it not bing "nice" that a few more dollars was paid to the maker for a huge custom order? I get caught up too but time is better spent appreciating the fact that this was the first box to actually see us as individual people! I mean it has our actual names, how sweet, come on haha
I agree about the coasters though. With a little bit of googling I saw that they were $30 last week on Google cache so this reminds me of PSMH when they had one price but the brand marked everything down to take advantage of the situation with all the new attention and then the box gets blamed. That's not fair at all, it's not the box but perhaps there needs to be new standards where they contract a price for a certain time?
I still think the red variation of the pillow is god awful, sorry I just do. The others are pretty but I hate red. But isn't that the purpose of swapping? One can't expect a box to be a mind reader and know we don't like neutrals, but thinking ahead and offering varied so one can swap was thoughtful and sooo much better than us all getting that ugly one. Plus annual subscribers get a lifetime discount to anything on the website so if you like the real marble so much just buy them, what's the problem? Are we that far removed from paying real value vs discount we refuse to? The coasters were never on a visual spoiler so I can't understand how that was at all misleading. The only spoiler was clutch and tray. Just cuz you secretly want something and didn't get it doesn't mak the box misleading. As well as the clutches looking bigger in the Instagram image. How? It was on a neutral background with nothing next to it for scale! I just feel when boxes try so hard to be transparent and we still do this it discourages them and then we get Little Lace Box type behavior in return since it feels like it's impossible to please us. Anywho just my two cents. Instagram comments are so nice and then on here it's more negative as if the box was horrible. I love all the attention to detail, customer service, and transparency of the curator. We also were taught this thing called 'cost per wear' value. At the end of the day gonna use the bag to death, the candle daily, and the nice touch of having a pillow insert to do whatever we want...those are the small things deserving my attention, not minuscule discrepancies and wishing my box was physchic
